Came to Denver last weekend and like to do my restaurant research before I go on a trip. Knew I had to visit this deli with my group. We were greeted as we walked in, given a menu and told to walk over to the counter when we were ready to order The display case showcased delicious breads, sides and baked goods. Our table someone ordered a BLT sandwich, curry potato salad for the side. Another couple shared the turkey club with the Mac salad. I ordered the chicken kabobs which were flavorful and moist. The hummus was DELICIOUS, as was the tzatziki. It came with a little cucumber/tomato salad and a large piece of soft pita bread. Get what I got, it is so good. I also ordered a honey lavender latte which I now dream of. Coming here again for sure.

I'm a really big fan of the smoked salmon toast. It's surprisingly filling and has an unexpected flare of citrus. Generous portion of salmon as well. I also think it's great that there is a included quality service charge, which benefits the employees without raising prices. Because of this, when you order Food from the cashier with a tablet, there's not pressure to add a tip on the tablet screen There is a lot of outdoor seating with picnic style bench tables. That is quite lovely in temperate weather. Indoors, it tends to be very loud. This is not a criticism just an observation. It's a casual atmosphere where you order at the counter, select your own seat and then someone will bust your table when you're done

Had never been here before. I'm a huge reuben fan. Leven's was incredible. The pastrami was tender and had a hint of smokiness and the bread was divine. All of their sides were amazing. Nothing is done half way at this place. The housemade pickles pack a punch, the curry potato salad, the dolmas, the pickled cauliflower... everything is big and bold and delicious. Beyond just the amazing food, the service was the best I've experienced in years. I'm in town for my birthday and when the young gentleman who was clearing tables found out he said, "happy birthday, I'm going to right back with something for ya." He came back with the best brownie I've ever had and even lite a candle he had stuck in it. Then he put a bag on the table and said, "that's for you too." He knew how much I enjoyed their homemade pickles so he filled a large to go container and gave it to me as a birthday gift. I didn't ask, he just did it. I'm an old guy, so I'd prefer that my birthdays just slide by without anyone noticing (including myself). I have to say though, the service at Leven's today absolutely made my day. This place is doing it right.

I am a food critic. This is the first and only restaurant to be a 10/10 5 stars in Denver CO (or all of colorado for that matter). Walking into the restaurant every person gave a warm welcome, and they had a southern hospitality that is rare to find in the west. Beyond that the atmosphere was stunning with live plants, good lighting, and their bread decorating the walls. As for the food the flavors left me speechless. I tried many dishes and every one had something unique to offer. Also the desserts are not to be forgotten. The blend of cultural dishes makes this restaurant so unique and literally tasteful! My friend Ruben you are an honorable mention going above and beyond for me I greatly appreciate it. Good manners and respect goes a long way, amazing food hits the soul and makes you feel at home. I definitely recommend this restaurant, and I will be back. Thank you Leven Deli Co. Isabella

4 stars for the food, 3 stars for the sides, 5 stars for the bread, 5+ stars for the service. We easily got a table outside at 11:45am on a Monday. There was no line that time, but right at noon a huge line built up out the door onto the sidewalk. however, it was a quick wait to order (5-10 minutes). The staff is incredible. My daughter noticed the pasta salad in the display case and when we asked about it, the person behind the counter could not have been more excited to describe all the sides, their costs, what they came with on the menu, and offer us a free sample. Then when we ordered, Jane was at the register and was very honest and enthusiastic (and patient) with recommendations (e.g. on what bread to get). When she told us the IPA I was ordering for my partner was out and we were trying to figure out the replacement, she told us if he doesn't like it, he can come back and replace his glass free of charge (and that's when she told us her name was Jane). Then the guy who brought us that beer told us he wasn't happy with how this batch tasted (and this was canned beer - they didnt even brew it), was super apologetic, still gave my partner a glass, and said they were refunding us for it! Totally unnecessary as my partner said it was actually fine. * Pastrami Reuben ($20) - 3.5 stars Meat was dry, bread was very fresh but it was too thick. * Coleslaw - 3 stars Not very creamy, mostly cabbage. * Pasta salad - 3.5 stars A little bland in flavor, but importantly, my some what picky 3-year-old liked it. * Chicken Shawarma ($17) - 3 stars Got this on sourdough, which is pretty great. However, I found the chicken dry, and the sandwich logistically hard to eat as the meat and other fillings kept falling out every bite I took. * Tomato Pesto & Mozzarella ($17) - 4.5 stars Got this on the recommended focaccia - this bread was heavenly spongy and soft, perfect with this sandwich. The mozzarella was so soft and fresh I actually thought it was burrata. And the tomatoes were so juicy with a sharp tang. Everything came together perfectly. * Kid's grilled cheese ($6) - 3 stars They make the bread a bit too thick and the outer crust too hard for little ones (3 and 5) to chew on. * Leven Fizz ($13) - 3 stars I chose gin as the base liquor (which is the recommended one). I generally like gin cocktails, mostly because I can't taste it. However, I found this to be too gin-forward, and (most unusually for me), I could taste that it was a low quality gin. The egg white foam was a very thin unimpressive layer. But the

Incredible sandwiches! I've been wanting to try this place out for a while and was so happy that I did. The flavor of the food here is incredible. The sandwiches and sides are all very tasty and well portioned. Don't forget to get a dessert either - their chocolate tahini cookie was to die for!! Also wanted to mention how the staff had a great system for ordering during the busy lunch crowd that made the process simple and stress free. The indoor seating area is also well done with plenty of seating with cute plant decor. Will definitely be going back again!

I had another great lunch at Leven yesterday. It was warmer this time so we got to sit outside, which was lovely. My son and I split a lemonade which was really, really good- they make their simple syrup in house so it's not a Coke product. My son had the lemon chicken orzo soup, which came out perfect for a little person. He was able to eat it straight away because it wasn't steaming hot and it had amazing flavor. It was seriously so good and had huge chunks of chicken- he loved it. I had the chickpea smash sandwich and it was so good. I really liked the smashed chickpeas and the avocado in there and the flatbread was really good. My brother had the Ruben again because he said he's been thinking about it ever since the last time we were there. The staff is really nice and super helpful. Leven is an all around a great lunch place.

I'm not from NYC or anything like that, but for my standards, this is a five-star deli. As soon as I saw their abundant display of sides, I knew I would love it. The reuben was perfect. I love a good cold sandwich and they delivered on that end too. Really nice staff, they checked in on us during our meal even though it's counter service. If you love olives -- they have the good ones here.

Delicious! Classic counter deli with all the right choices! We split the Italian sandwich with mortadella, capicola, provolone, and pickled onions. It hit the spot! We also had a side of their Friends curry potato salad and it was so savory! Their cookies were also delectable. Edit: had to go back twice while in Denver. We had the breakfast burrito to fuel up for a hike. Then, on the last day in town, we went back for one more meal. I had the BELT, their breakfast version of a BLT with egg on it. So delicious! Highly recommend!

The quality of the food at this place is really high. The pastrami Rueben was delicious, but I prefer more meat on my sandwich- if I go back I would get double meat if possible. The place is very popular- or was when we went on a Sunday afternoon. You wait in a line that leads to a cashier and they'll take your order. Then you can try and find a place to sit. We ended up asking to share a bench with some friendly strangers. The place itself is nice, cute and trendy with an Italian vibe. Either you can order takeout or you get a flag with a number and someone will bring your entrees. I may go back specifically to ask for double meat and re-review, because the food quality is fantastic. Recommended and happy eating!
